The neo-Nazi National Democratic Party-s (NPD) main candidate in Saxony Holger Apfel (C) addresses a press conference with NPD leader Udo Voigt (R) and future NPD MP in Saxony Uwe Leichsenring (L) in Freital 21 September 2004, following regional elections in Brandenburg and Saxony. The NPD won more than nine percent of the votes in Saxony 19 September 2004, increasing its share of the vote in the former east German state from just 1.4 percent five years ago.
