Chinese children dance around (L-R) General Motors China CEO Philip Murtaugh, GM Vice President of Environment and Energy Beth Lowery and GM China Vice President David Chen after the announcement of GM-s first joint hybrid bus program with Shanghai Automotive Industry Corporation Group (SAIC) for the China market 1 October, 2004 in Shanghai. The announcement was made in conjunction the Challenge Bibendum, the world-s premier clean vehicle event, which is being held in Shanghai from October 12-14. GM-s transit bus will feature a diesel-electric hybrid powertrain packaged in a Sunwin body developed by SAIC.
