IRAQ-US-HORNET
A US Marine Corp F/A-18D Hornet banks away into the clouds after refueling from a KC-130 aerial refueler transport near Fallujah, Iraq, late 09 November, 2004. In support of Marines fighting on the ground in the streets of Fallujah during Operation Phantom Fury, the Hornet is one of the 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing-s fixed-wing aircraft that employs Joint Direct Attack Munitions(JDAM), such as two laser guided GBU-12s and a GBU-38 seen under the Hornet-s right wing.
