UMM QASR, 28 MARCH 2003 ----- A member of the Free Iraqi Forces (FIF) is reunited with family members in his home village. Free Iraqi Forces are Shiia and Sunni Muslims, Arabs and Kurds, all exiled from Iraq, who received training at the U.S. army base at Taszar, Hungary. The soldiers wear battle-dress uniforms with OFIFÓ patches on the shoulder and assist U.S. and Coalition forces in civil-military operations. This FIF soldier is an American citizen who volunteered to help the Coalition to free Iraq and has not seen his family in over ten years.
