The regional council president of the Corsican Islamic culture Miloud Mesgathi (C), answers journalists- questions 29 November 2004 in Ajaccio-s Prefecture during a meeting organized by Corsica-s prefet Pierre-Rene Lemas, with the president of the Presbyterian council of the reformed church in Corsica, Jean-Claude Alegre, and the island-s Bishop Jean-Luc Brunin. Unknown assailants shot at and almost killed an Imam 27 November on the French Mediterranean island of Corsica then fled after daubing racist graffiti on a building where he was staying.
