Corsica-s Prefect Pierre-Rene Lemas, shows to the media the leaflet of the "Week of Solidarity" that will be organized in every school on the island, 29 November 2004 at Ajaccio-s prefecture. Lemas also met with the regional council president of the Corsican Islamic culture Miloud Mesgathi, the president of the Presbyterian council of the Corsican reformed church Jean-Claude Alegre, and the island-s Bishop Jean-Luc Brunin. Unknown assailants shot at and almost killed an Imam 27 November on the French Mediterranean island of Corsica then fled after daubing racist graffiti on a building where he was staying.
