NIRELAND-SINN FEIN-ADAMS
Sinn Fein leader Gerry Adams speaks with the media 08 December 2004 on issues regarding the failed proposed deal with the Democratic Unionist Party (DUP) on sharing power in Northern Ireland. Intensive efforts to restore power-sharing government between Protestants and Catholics in Northern Ireland "are not yet complete," British Prime Minister Tony Blair said Today. Blair-s announcement followed efforts by Dublin and London to revive the Northern Ireland peace process by getting the main Protestant group, the Democratic Unionist Party (DUP), to agree to share power with the main Catholic party Sinn Fein, the political wing of the Irish Republican Army (IRA).
