Zulkifli Mohamad Nor, 42, reacts at his home in Penang, 28 December 2004 after describing how tsunami waves killed five of his seven children in Pasir Panjang, a popular vacation spot in Penang. Zulkifli managed to save his wife and his one-year old child. His daughter, Siti Fairuz, 15, also survived the incident. A tsunami hit the northwestern region of Peninsular Malaysia and other countries in southern Asia 26 December, after an earthquake measuring 9.0 on the Richter scale occured off the coast of Sumatra, Indonesia.
