SURFING-AUST-BILLABONG WORLD JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIPS
Wildcard Josh Kerr was jumps a wave to narrowly be eliminated by defending Billabong World Junior Champion Adriano De Souza of Brazil, in Sydney 03 January 2005. Kerr pulled out all the stops to defeat De Souza however fell short of a mere 0.53 points and had to settle for equal 17th place. Despite Kerr-s disappointing loss, he posted the second highest heat score of the event to date with 18.20 out of a possible 20 points.
The Billabong World Junior Champs features six men squads from the seven ASP regions; Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe, Hawaii, North and South America and three wildcards. AFP PHOTO
