MIDEAST-JORDAN-ISRAEL-PRISONERS
The wife and mother of Jordanian prisoner Mustafa al-Surhan, jailed in an Israeli prison, hold his pictures during a rally in Amman 11 January 2005. Hundreds of Jordanians took part in the rally to express their solidarity with Jordanian prisoners held in Israel. Israeli Foreign Minister Silvan Shalom cancelled a visit to Jordan in January 2003 at the last minute, which had been expected to be followed by the release by Israel of 20 Jordanian prisoners held for security offences. Now Amman is preparing for a visit by Shalom and hopes that Israel will release the Jordanian prisoners. AFP PHOTO/KHALIL MAZRAAWI
