A filephoto dated 15 February 2003 shows a North Korean soldier guarding a war monument in Pyongyang. Half a century after an armistice brought an end to three years of relentless slaughter in Korea, Kim Thae Hwa's hatred of his former American enemy is as burning as ever, as the 76-year-old North Korean veteran is unlikely to celebrate Sunday's truce anniversary, since for him the war is not over until his country is reunified.
