CHINA-XINJIANG-MOSQUE
Muslim women sell flowers outside the 15th century-built Id Kah Mosque in the old city section in cental Kasghar, 27 March 2005. Since China embarked on a program to "develop the west" five years ago, Kashgar has undergone a makeover with a new plaza built in front of the mosque, replacing what was once a thriving bazaar that was the focal point of this ancient city-s fame along the legendary Silk Road.
