IRAQ-UNREST-DEMO
Iraqis demonstrate 18 April 2005, in central Baghdad-s Fardous (Paradise Square) with photos of loved ones they say were kidnapped in the area south of Baghdad which has become one of the country-s most dangerous regions due to insurgent activity. Iraqi forces today failed to find any hostages or signs of killings after regaining control of al-Madain town, 30 kilomters (18 miles) south of Baghdad, where Sunni gunmen were reported to be threatening to kill 80 Shiite residents, after a three day stand-off fueled by rumors and suspicions.
