EGYPT-ANTIQUITIES
This handout picture released 17 May 2005 by the Egyptian government-s antiquities department shows one of the tombs dating back to the first Pharaonic dynasty at Shunet el-Zebib excavation area, north of Abidos in Upper Egypt-s Suhag province, 650 kms south of Cairo. Earthenware pots and human skeletons were found in tombs dating back to the era of King Menes (Hor-Aha), 3,000 BC. The site was discovered by a joint US excavation team from Yale, New York University, and Pennsylvania University Museum. AFP PHOTO/HO
