Defense attorney Thomas Mesereau leaves US pop star Michael Jackson-s child molestation trial 18 May 2005 at the Santa Barbara County Courthouse in Santa Maria. The defense in Jackson-s child molestation trial could end sooner than expected, the embattled superstar-s lawyer indicated. Jackson-s spokeswoman Raymone Bail had said last week that the defense phase of the trial that officially got underway on January 31 would take about six weeks, taking it into July.
