ETHIOPIA-POLITICS-ELECTIONS-UNREST
A relative of Omar Tesfaye shows the bullet that has been removed from him 09 June 2005 after he has been injured during yesterday-s unrest in Addis Ababa. Police were out in force in the tense and near-deserted streets of the Ethiopian capital Thursday, a day after clashes with protestors demonstrating against the results of last month-s elections killed more than 20 people. The city-s normally ubiquitous blue-and-white Lada taxicabs and mini-buses were nowhere to be seen as a strike by drivers, called in sympathy with the protestors, entered a second day despite orders from the Addis Ababa administration for a return to work.
