Visitors attend the re-consecration ceremony of the Frauenkirche (Church of Our Lady) 30 October 2005. The 18th century Protestant church, a searing symbol of the suffering of German civilians after its destruction in World War II bombing and now of reconciliation between the one-time enemies, has been re-consecrated after over 10 years of reconstruction costing some EUR 180 million (218 million dollar).
