RUSSIA-NUCLEAR-CORRUPTION-ADAMOV
(FILES) Russian Nuclear Power Minister Yevgeny Adamov (R) gives his US counterpart Bill Richardson (L) traditional Russian vodka after the signing of a cooperation agreement, drawn by the Russian government and US administration for the registration, monitoring and physical safeguarding of nuclear materials, in Moscow 02 October 1999. Switzerland-s supreme court gave 29 December 2005 a green light to extradite imprisoned former Russian nuclear minister Yevgeny Adamov to his homeland, rather than the United States. The Federal Tribunal ruled in favour of Adamov, who has been battling an October decision by Swiss justice authorities to hand him over to the United States to face corruption charges there.
