FILES-HAITI-UN-CHANGE OF COMMAND
(FILES) In this 31 August, 2006 file photo, the new commander of the United Nations Stabilization Mission in Haiti (MINUSTAH) Brazilian General Urano Teixeira da Matta Bacellar (L), flanked by the UN chief of mission in Haiti Juan Gabriel Valdes, receives honors during a ceremony of the change of command in Port-Au-Prince. Bacellar took command from Brazilian Augusto Ribeiro Heleno. Bacellar was found dead in his hotel room 07 January, 2006, a MINUSTAH official said. In a separate report obtained by AFP, MINUSTAH said Bacellar-s body had been found Saturday morning in his room at the Hotel Montana, and he had been shot. The report said he appeared to have committed suicide. In Brasilia, army officials confirmed Bacellar-s death but would not discuss how he had died. AFP PHOTO/Thony BELIZAIRE/FILES
