(FILES) In this 31 August, 2005, file photo, the new commander of the United Nations Stabilization Mission in Haiti (MINUSTAH) Brazilian Army Gen. Urano Teixeira da Matta (R) shakes hands with soldiers during a ceremony of the change of command in Port-Au-Prince. Bacellar took over from Brazilian Augusto Ribeiro Heleno. Bacellar was found dead in his hotel room 07 January, 2006, a MINUSTAH official said. In a separate report obtained by AFP, MINUSTAH said Bacellar-s body had been found Saturday morning in his room at the Hotel Montana, and he had been shot. The report said he appeared to have committed suicide. In Brasilia, army officials confirmed Bacellar-s death but would not discuss how he had died. AFP PHOTO/Thony BELIZAIRE/FILES
