IRAQ-US-KIOWA-UNREST
A picture released by the US Army shows an OH-58D Kiowa Warrior helicopter takiong off from Forward Operating Base MacKenzie in Iraq after being armed and refueled 28 October 2004. The Kiowa is assigned to Delta Troop, 1st Battalion, 4th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division. Two US pilots were killed 13 January 2006 when their helicopter crashed in northern Iraq, the US military said. The cause of the crash of the Kiowa helicopter in the city of Mosul was being investigated, the military added in a statement. AFP PHOTO/HO/STAFF SGT. SHANE A. CUOMO
