(FILES) -- File picture dated 05 January 2005 shows Syrian Deputy Foreign Minister Walid al-Moallem talking to reporters during a preparatory meeting in Amman of the representatives of Iraq-s neighbouring countries. Long-serving Syrian Foreign Minister Faruq al-Shara was named as vice president 11 February 2006, state news agency SANA reported, replacing Abdul Halim Khaddam, branded a traitor by Damascus.
