OLY-2006-SKI-COMBINED-DOWNHILL-CANCELLATION
A race official checks a gate on the Women-s Combined Downhill course in San Sicario, Italy, 17 February, 2006. The race was cancelled due to bad wind conditions. The start of the race had already been delayed for 75 minutes and was cancelled after the first athlete, Nika Fleiss from Croatia, suffered a fall. The downhill race of the Combined event is to be rescheduled for another day. The Turin 2006 Winter Olympics Alpine Skiing competitions are held between 12-25 February and yield five medal events for both men and ladies. AFP PHOTO THOMAS COEX
