The Anglo-dutch publishing group Reed Elsevier unveiled today a 61 percent leap in first-half net profit and reiterated a forecast for full-year growth of 5.0 percent. Reed's net profit reached 318 million euros (405 million dollars), up from 197 million in the first half of 2005.
