EL SALVADOR-IRAQ-TROOPS
Salvadorean President Elias Antonio Saca (C) and Defense Minister Otto Romero (L) review troops at the Artillery Brigade in San Juan Opico, El Salvador, 43 km west of San Salvador, 11 August 2006 during the farewell ceremony for the VII Cuscatlan Batallion before their trip to Iraq as part of a multinational force working in humanitarian operations. A seventh contingent of 380 soldiers will be deployed to Iraq to relieve a previous group stationed in Al-Kut. El Salvador is the only Latin American country with troops still in Iraq.
