US-SPACE SHUTTLE ATLANTIS-CREW
The crew of the Space Shuttle Atlantis leave the Operations and Checkout building 08 September 2006, on their way to launch pad 39-B at the Kennedy Space Center, Florida. The shuttle Atlantis was fueled and ready for blastoff at 11:41am (1540 GMT), despite a faulty fuel cell, but a faulty fuel gauge could keep it grounded another day, NASA said. The delay-plagued mission of the Atlantis to the orbiting International Space Station got its green light Thursday afternoon, when a meeting of NASA managers decided that a faulty fuel cell would pose no danger in flight.
