BRITAIN-FRANCE-LITERATURE-PEOPLE-AWARD
Nobel-winning British playwright Harold Pinter (L) shares a joke with French Prime Minster Dominique de Villepin after Pinter was awarded with the French Legion d'honneur in London, 17 January 2007. Pinter praised France in his speech for their stance on the war in Iraq and expressed his concern over Britain's alliance with the US in the conflict. The ceremony took place at residence of the French ambassador to London. Pinter has received numerous awards in the past including the Nobel Prize for Literature. AFP PHOTO/POOL
