Djibril Konate, a deputy from the ruling PUP party speaks 23 February 2007 in Conakry in favour of the lifting of the martial law period just before a vote. Members of parliament in Guinea unanimously refused to extend a martial law period imposed by President Lansana Conte on February 12 after mounting protest over his rule.
