Brazil's leading advocate of liberation theology, Franciscan father Leonardo Boff answers questions during an interview 14 March, 2007 in San Pedro, east of San Jose. Boff said that the warning issued to Spanish Jesuit Jon Sobrino will stir the debate around the liberation theory, still pretty alive in the world. Sobrino's books, widely distributed in the heavily Catholic region, contain passages that are "either erroneous or dangerous and may cause harm to the faithful," the Vatican said, issuing a warning "notification" but stopping short of condemning him.
