MIDEAST-PALESTINIAN-ISRAEL-SETTLERS
Protected by Israeli soldiers, Jewish settlers visit a religious site in a Palestinian neighborhood of the divided West Bank town of Hebron 04 April 2007. Under an accord with the Palestinian Authority in 1997, Israel withdrew from most of Hebron but kept troops around several enclaves in the city centre where 600 hardline settlers live under heavy army protection.
