US Navy marine mammal handlers train a sea lion to detect underwater ordinance during a training exercise at the Space and Naval Warefare Systems Center on 12 April 2007 in San Diego, California. The Navy's Marine Mammal Program trains primarily dolphins and sea lions in operational programs for swimmer defense and to detect underwater mines and other possible ordinance.
