US-NAVY-MARINE MAMMAL TRAINING
US Navy marine mammal handlers feed sea lions in their pen before a training exercise at Naval Base Pt. Loma on 12 April 2007 in San Diego, California. The Navy's Marine Mammal Program trains primarily dolphins and sea lions in operational programs for swimmer defense and to detect underwater mines and other possible ordinance.
