GULF-USS NIMITZ-IRAQ
A picture released by the US military shows 14 May 2007 an F/A-18A Hornet assigned to the "Red Devils" of Marine Fighter Attack Squadron launching 11 May off the flight deck of the nuclear-powered aircraft carrier USS Nimitz, at sea in the Gulf. The Nimitz Carrier Strike Group and embarked Carrier Air Wing 11 are deployed in the US 5th Fleet conducting Maritime Security Operations and supporting troops participating in Operation Enduring Freedom.
