US-WAR-RALLY-ROLLING THUNDER
Members of Rolling Thunder hold a national meeting at the Hyatt Regency in Arlington, VA., 26 May 2007, inviting wounded soldiers from Walter Reed Medical Center like Army Specialist Juan Alcivar (C-with crutches), who was wounded in Iraq by a sniper's bullet last March. Thousands of bikers and non-riders are participating in the 2007 edition of the "Rolling Thunder" annual bike rally which this year marks the 20th anniversary of the event staged during the Memorial Day weekend as a sign of support to the United States Armed Forces and its soldiers. Rolling Thunder began 20 years ago to draw attention to US troops missing in action in Vietnam, some of whom they say may still be alive or whose remains need to be returned to their families.
