GERMANY-G8-SUMMIT-PROTEST
Anti-globalisation have set up a banner reading "G8 Kings on tour never mind the Poor" 05 June 2007 on a boat in Rostock, northeastern Germany, one day ahead of the start of the G8 summit in Heiligendamm. While leaders of rich nations will gather for the G8 summit a few kilometres (miles) away anti-globalisation protesters are staging their own parallel meeting. They attack the G8 summit at Heilingendamm near Rostock as a "grand public relations show" and have invited some 1,500 participants and 40 bodies such as non-governmental organisations (NGOs) and trade unions, in particular from Africa and Asia.
