INDIA-WEATHER-FLOODS
An Indian villager woman looks back at her husband as they prepare to cross a flooded area with their kid at Sobhan, in Darbhanga District some 160 kms north of Patna, 07 August 2007. Among the millions of people forced from their homes by floods across South Asia many were desperate for food and drinking water, with India's Bihar state the worst hit. Flooding has affected more than 6,000 villages in half of Bihar's 38 districts with at least two million people living outdoors. AFP PHOTO/ Deshakalyan CHOWDHURY
