LEBANON-VOTE-LAHOUD
Lebanese anti-Syrian politician Nassib Lahoud, gives a press conferenceto announce his candidacy to the forthcoming presidential elections in Beirut, 13 September 2007. Lahoud's step came as foreign envoys are flocking to Beirut to try and break a political deadlock that threatens to scuttle a looming presidential election and plunge Lebanon into further chaos.
