US-DROUGHT
A cove that would normally be filled with lake water in the Riverpointe neighborhood of Lake Wylie shows the effects of severe drought 20 October 2007 outside of Charlotte, North Carolina. Low water levels caused by severe drought have beached many docks and boats in the area. Lake Wylie and Lake Norman, both fed by the Catawba River, are seeing their shorelines increase as water levels drop.
