NEPAL-FESTIVAL-DASHAIN


Hindu devotees hold burning oil lamps on their heads, kness, shoulders and palms for six hours on the ten day of the Hindu biggest festival, Dashain (Durga Puja) in Bhaktapur on the outskirts of Kathmandu, 21 October 2007 as other family members help them by lighting all the lamps properly. Devotees light lamps in the name of the goddess Durga as a ritual for good luck and prosperity. For the farmer, it means better crops.
