A picture released by the US Military 02 November 2007 shows soldiers from 2nd Platoon, Troop C, 2nd Squadron, 1st Cavalry Regiment, 4th Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 2nd Infantry Division, Task Force Iron, pulling security during a halt in the patrol of a palm grove on the outskirts of Hussein Hamadi village in Diyala Province during Operation Ultra Magnus, 30 October 2007. US and Iraqi forces launched 05 November 2007 a massive assault in four provinces of Iraq targeting Al-Qaeda fighters, the US military said. The military statement did not name the provinces but said the operation was in northern Iraq. US forces' northern command has troops in provinces such as Salaheddin, Nineveh, Kirkuk and Diyala.
