A picture released by the US Military 04 November 2007 shows US Marine Corps Lance Cpl. Joshua Seeberger with Combat Logistics Battalion 4, 2nd Marine Logistics Group (Forward), looking through an advanced combat optical gun sight in the Anbar province of Iraq, 26 October 2007. US and Iraqi forces launched 05 November 2007 a massive assault in four provinces of Iraq targeting Al-Qaeda fighters, the US military said. The military statement did not name the provinces but said the operation was in northern Iraq. US forces' northern command has troops in provinces such as Salaheddin, Nineveh, Kirkuk and Diyala.
