FRANCE-CORSICA-JUSTICE
A supporter of Corsica natonalists, wearing a tee-shirt at the effigy of Yvan Colonna, arrives 12 November 2007 at the Paris courthouse, before the opening of the trial of Colonna. The latter, a 47 year-old goat herder and independence activist, is accused of murdering Claude Erignac, 60, the prefect on the French Mediterranean island who was murdered in 1998 as he walked to a concert-hall in the southern Corsican city of Ajaccio. Colonna, who is the son of a former Corsican parliament member, spent several years in hiding in the mountains of Corsica after being named as a suspect in the affair.
