FRANCE-CORSICA-JUSTICE
French Jean-Guy Talamoni (L), Corsican militant and Regional Assembly representative and Stephane Colonna (R), brother of Yvan Colonna the alleged killer of French prefect Claude Erignac, greet each other as they arrive at the Paris courthouse, 12 November 2007, before the opening of the trial of his brother. Yvan Colonna, a 47 year-old goat herder and independence activist, is accused of murdering the prefect on the French Mediterranean island Corsica, Claude Erignac, 60, in February 1998 as he walked to a concert-hall in the southern Corsican city of Ajaccio. Colonna, who is the son of a former Corsican parliament member, spent several years in hiding in the mountains of Corsica after being named as a suspect in the affair. He was finally captured in 2003. AFP PHOTO OLIVIER LABAN-MATTEI
