BANGLADESH-US-CYCLONE
In this handout picture taken 24 November 2007, A US Navy helicopter flies over destroyed villages and infrastructure following Cyclone Sidr, which swept into southern Bangladesh 15 November. The amphibious assault ship USS Kearsarge (LHD 3), as well as elements of Amphibious Squadron 8 and the 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) Special Operations Capable (SOC) arrived off the coast of Bangladesh 23 November. Bangladesh's interim finance minister said 25 November, that the economic impact of Cyclone Sidr was "huge" but it was too early to estimate the extent of the damage to the country's ailing economy.
