Chavez ordered on March 2, 2008 the withdrawal of personnel in his country's embassy in Colombia, as a diplomatic rift deepened over an attack by Bogota on leftist rebels across its border into Ecudador. His decision came one day after he alluded to the possiblity of war if the Colombian military crosses into Venezuelan territory. "President Uribe, think about it long and hard.
