(FILE) A Sukhoi-30 Russian-made fighter jet recently acquired by the Venezuelan Army, overflies Caracas on July 5, 2006 during a military parade celebrating Venezuela's Independence day. Venezuelan president Hugo Chavez ordered on March 2, 2008 the withdrawal of personnel in his country's embassy in Colombia, as a diplomatic rift deepened over an attack by Bogota yesterday on FARC leftist rebels across its border into Ecuador. His decision came one day after he alluded to the possiblity of war if the Colombian military crosses into Venezuelan territory. "President Uribe, think about it long and hard. You had better not get the idea of doing this on our territory because it would be a 'causus belli', cause for a war," said Chavez to Colombian president Alvaro Uribe Saturday, in his first reaction to the raid. Chavez ordered 10 battalions be deployed south to the border with Colombia, and the Air Force to "take-off". AFP PHOTO/Juan BARRETO
