Fourniret goes on trial this week for the murder of seven young women in France and Belgium between 1987 and 2001. Fourniret is to be tried beginning on March 27, 2008 along with his wife and alleged accomplice Monique Olivier in Charleville-Mezieres, a town in the French Ardennes region bordering Belgium, in a trial set to last two months.
