(FILES) - Picture taken on June 29, 2007 shows the main terminal of Tempelhof airport in Berlin. The airport, originally built in 1923, was redeveloped under Nazi rule into its present form. The terminal was built between 1936 and 1941, serving the US Air Force during the Berlin blockade of 1948-49. Berliners go to the polls on April 28, 2008 to vote in a referendum on plans to save the German capital's historic Tempelhof airport, the hub of the Berlin airlift, from closure in October 2008.
