KENYA-MUNGIKI-SHOOTING
Two suspected leaders of an outlawed Kenyan sect 'Mungiki' lie dead in their bullet-riddled vehicle on April 28,2008 near Limuru town, 30 kilometres northeast of the capital Nairobi after an encounter with police officers who had been tailing them. They two were allegedly headed for Naivasha town for a gathering of other leaders of the sect when they were gunned down after a dramatic car chase as police continue to crack down on the outlawed sect whose sporadic attacks on civilians, beheading and slashing people to death with machettes, in the past have inspired fear, the latest attack having been sometime in March 2008, that left at least 20 dead.
