CHILE-VOLCANO-CHAITEN
A bird lies dead over the ashes from the Chaiten volcano in an area close to the Chilean town of Futaleufu, in the south of the country on May 10, 2008. Chilean President Michelle Bachelet was to visit Saturday the area near the Chaiten volcano, which continued pouring out a huge column of ash and whose eruption eight days ago forced the evacuation of thousands from the area, the government announced.
